This may be a bit outside the wheelhouse of Oppo, but I couldn’t -not- post this. I love good sound design. There are several movies (the recent Godzilla is one) that I love simply because they use sound so effectively. Elite: Dangerous is another amazing example of what you can do with sound, but this capital ship entry just takes things to another level entirely.

And yes, it makes perfect sense in-game that this ship has a means to broadcast choral music to all ships in range. They’re a very flashy faction.

How is that game? It looks pretty but it also looks like it could end up being a lot of farming and then have combat not be that fun.

It is indeed very pretty. I don’t know that I would describe it as “farmy.” If you watch farther into that video you get a pretty good taste of what the combat is like. I find it fun, some people don’t, though.

It’s one of those games where you have to find your own direction, though. There’s little in the way of story or direction, although you can sign up with a “power” and complete objectives for them, or participate in various community goals.

Me, I like smuggling. It’s very profitable, and the added challenge of getting into and out of stations without being detected keeps it interesting.

There’s a free demo, I believe, if you’re interested. It’s just the training missions but it’ll give you a good idea of how the combat works.
